The official WWE Facebook page for the smart, beautiful and powerful Divas of WWE.
I just liked the official WWE Divas page on Facebook. Yes the WWE Divas official page… Most popular in Cairo, Al Qahirah, Egypt or in other words… Click farmers got to it.
Unless you BELIEVE that WWE is most popular on the internet not in the US where it’s from, predominantly airs, and has the vast majority of their matches. Not in Canada where they appear the second most frequently and almost if not all of their shows and PPV’s air. Not in Europe where most internet surfers come from excluding Canada and the USA and WWE heavily airs and shows their Pay Per Vies. Not in Mexico a country where wrestling is hugely popular, many WWE talent come from, and that has their own Spanish speaking announce team to accommodate.
No the most popular country for WWE on Facebook is a country where few people have TV, wrestling is not popular, the economy is extremely hurting, and few people even have access to the internet.
And the sad thing is, I do not believe an official WWE page shelled out money to click farms. No I believe they were completely legit and paid Facebook to advertise to get more likes, and almost all of them still came from Click farms.
Why? Because people employed by them cover their tracks by clicking ANYTHING. So whether you pay facebook or a shady site to get more likes, you get virtually the same non-interested people in developing countries clicking on it. Hell, if it gets popular enough Facebook distributes it without you asking to, thus getting clicked on mostly by the same click farms. Screwing you over for free and even though you never asked.
I have no idea how many of their 1,139,891 are legit and how many are from clique farms. But enough that a developing country running one clicked more likes than legitimately interested people from any one location clicked on it. And that is likely not the only place such likes are coming from.
And the truly sad thing is that those likes are keeping people who want to see post from them from seeing it. Because Facebook only sends out post to a limited number of people to start, and sends more out the more people engage. If most people getting it are clicks from click farmers then few actually interested people see it.
Even if more than half of the people who liked it are the illegitimate post. This page, and most larger Facebook pages like them, would actually get more people liking, replying and sharing, and thus get more out of their post if none of them were there. A lot more.
Facebook really needs to address the problem. By most accounts their current main source of income is people advertising their pages and post on Facebook. Because their adds do little be comparison because no one goes on Facebook to go shopping or spend money.
Right now it isn’t hurting them, if anything they are benefiting because these pages are almost forced to shell out money (or more likely additional money) to promote their post, which will get it out to more people who are interested, but also more click farmers. But still is their best way to make the post useful all be it at a price.
This is going to catch up to Facebook eventually no matter how it helps them now. Word is getting out fast that Facebook is not a good place to advertise your business due largely to opportunist taking advantage of developing countries with people who have no choice but to work for peanuts. Screwing everyone in the process.
Facebook needs to wake up and address the problem now, or it may be too late for them soon enough.
